Varsity softball played a DH against Sparta on May 5, winning both games. Kendall Fisk took the W in game one with 15 Ks. Alora Morales hit a game winning HR in the 8th inning. Ava Workman got the W in game 2. Alora Morales went 3-3 and Lucy Lyons went 2-3. Traveled to Coopersville on May 8. Ava Workman pitched both games but we lost both...game 1 was 7-10. Karly Harrison and Elle Ingersoll both had 2 hits. Game 2 was 1-12. Elle Ingersoll and Jersey Traxler both had 2 hits in that game. Saturday we took 2nd place in the Big Rapids tournament, losing the first game to Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart 1-9. We bounce back for the second game beating Big Rapids 2-13. Phoebe Fisk hit a grand slam HR in that game. This week V softball plays a single game in Wayland on May 12, a DH vs. Allendale on May 13, a DH with Kenowa Hills on May 15, and a DH on Friday in Newaygo on May 16.
