The Lady Red Hawks opened the 2025 season at the Sheperd Varsity Vollleyball Blue Jay Invitational on Saturday, August 23rd. The Red Hawks went 3-1-2 on the day suffering their only loss to host Sheperd in the Championship match 17-25; 18-25. Junior hitter Taylor Gunderson played a dominant role in both scoring points and defending for the Red Hawks. Taylor led her team in kills (37), aces (16), and blocks (8) while also recoding top three with 30 digs, 48 serve receptions, 33 service points and 2 assists. She was pivotal in crucial high pressure match situations with aggressive attacks and accurate passing/digs. her solid all around team-focused performance aided in closing out tight matches and elevating the team objectives in upcoming games.
